3 Companies Eyes Automated Guided Train (AGT) Project at Soekarno Hatta Airport
Pontianak – In addition to Airport Railway connecting Soekarno Hatta Airport with City of Jakarta, Automated Guided Train (AGT) will be complementary served similar to the train have been operating in Changi International Airport, Singapore and Kuala Lumpur International Airport, Malaysia. AGT is planned to connect Terminal 1, 2 and 3 in the Airport.
President Director of PT Angkasa Pura II (AP II) (Persero), Budi Karya Sumadi said, the contractor who is the most capable to execute this project will be immediately announced.
“We’ve already started the process of auction. Recently, there are 3 companies that are interested to involve in this project. A winner will be announced in a week,” Budi said while He was at Supadio Airport, Pontianak on Wednesday (March 30, 2016).
Those 3 firms are from local company with each has appointed a strategic partner from abroad.
“Respectively, the bidders are PT LEN – Korean partner, PT Jaya Konstruksi – Mitsibushi, and PT INKA – its strategic partner,” He explained.
AGT will be built in integrating with airport railway that is currently under construction. All existing Terminal at Soekarno Hatta Airport will also be connected.
“Later on, the passengers use airport railway that will be alighted at Terminal III Ultimate. AGT can be used from there and they can go around,” He added.
