Jakarta – Pertamina Hulu Energi Offshore North West Java (PHE ONWJ) together with The General Elections Commission (KPU) was taking president election on 9th July 2014 in the Offshore. Similarly, it was done for legislative election last April. GM / Executive VP PHE ONWJ Jonly Sinulingga said there are 1000 workers in the Offshore which are entitled to elect President and Vice President of Indonesia.

“Our Offshore crews have a schedule 12 hours on and 12 hours off alternately. While they were working in the Offshore, We hoped that they were able to vote and the election would have been successfully achieved for Indonesian future.” Jonly said on press conference in Jakarta, Thursday (10/07).

It was also reported that PHE provided transportation facilities for both KPU team and witness from each candidate to election polls (TPS) that were located in offshore area of PHE ONWJ. Jonly mentioned that PHE ONWJ is placed from Kepulauan Seribu to the North of Cirebon. Those wide areas would be a bigger challenge for 2014 president election.

“4 election polls were provided for this period in offshore area of PHE ONWJ. They were Echo, Bravo, Mike-mike, and Zulu platform with 961 of voter.” He said.

PHE ONWJ is the holder of oil and gas cooperation contracts (KKKS) ONWJ block that was assigned by Upstream Oil and Gas regulatory special task force (SKK Migas) since 2009.
