On March 2014, Bentley Systems was holding a complimentary Offshore Engineering Event in three different cities which are in Menara 165 Jakarta (March 20, 2014), PUB WaterHUB Singapore (March 25, 2014), and Grand Hyatt Kuala Lumpur (March 27, 2014). It focused to SACS and Moses since new features of them (SACS 5.6 and Moses 7.1) had been released. It was not only met up with their Global Industry Solutions (VP and Director), but also met other industry professionals for a discussion/overview of the Oil & Gas Offshore Industry.

• New EC/3 and Norsok design code check
• Meshing non tubular joints
• Automatic topsides deck meshing
• Enhanced integration of post-processing

Having had a lunch break, it continued to depict New Developments in Hydrodynamic that was presented by Phil Christensen (VP Offshore & Marine, Bentley Systems). In order to introduce the Moses 7.1, Dario Giudice (Naval Architect Coordinator, Saipem) was taking part in his presentment. He highlighted about New Moses 7.1 language editor, Hull modeling, Compartment modeling, Motions and mooring analysis, and Incorporate user presentation: “Zawtika – Mating and Piles Installation”.

In the end of this seminar before questions & Answer Sessions, Bentley tools for Team Collaboration had been shared. It showcased about Integrated Structural Modeling (ISM) for structural data transfer from analysis to modeling and detailing in ProSteel, Mobile applications of ISM through structural synchronizer, and Using ProjectWise for the management of SACS project data.

Finally, all participants were supposed to fill up the questioner form for door prize that would be drawn on the next seminar in Kuala Lumpur.
